As a composer, Davide has written music for full and chamber orchestra as well as solo instruments; he has been commissioned several works, including music for theatre, ballet and film. His music has been performed both in Italy and the UK.

He has worked, and still works, with artistic director Leighton Eves. The first collaboration took place in 2009, when Davide was asked to write two pieces for the fundraising Foodbank Event: choreographer and dancer Charlie Ranken beautifully interpreted his piece Abandoned, a contemporary and heart-breaking piece for solo dancer, while award-winning pianist Caroline Tyler performed his La Tempesta, for piano solo. The following year, Davide was asked to write arrangements for another fundraising event, Star!, which took place in Worthing, Winchester and Croydon.

He wrote the soundtrack for director Marco Bonfanti’s short films  “Le Parole di Stockhausen” and “Ordalia – dentro di me”.

In May 2013, Davide composed and performed live the soundtrack for the theatrical piece “L’uomo che piantava alberi”, based on Giono’s short story. Working with director and actor Gabriele Finzi, actor Pietro Anastasi and talented scenographer Alba Sarompas, they managed to create a magical atmosphere that enraptured the audience.

Currently, Davide is collaborating with Larp Music on the production of The Merchant of Venice at the Almeida Theatre, London and with the dance company Pointe Ahead on exciting new projects.
